My New Model Army tee-shirt arrived, from the (virtual) 40th anniversary concert a few weeks ago. Tubby middle-aged punks, unite!

If you have any emotional blocks or upsets regarding people, situations or similar, I'm currently offering these sessions on a pay-what-you-can basis:

My first proper devlog on Itch. Now I have my RPG project to a point that I can create characters and use the lifepath, I gave it a quick run through to see how quickly I could build a character. I'm happy with the outcome.

"On receiving an interrupt, decrement the counter to zero."

Work is stupidly busy at the moment and I've been working weekends and evenings (not that I'm complaining, I'm bloody lucky compared to many).

Still sober (120 days) and have made some good friends via the sobriety app I use.

Still caffeine free and missing it so much right now (see "work", above).

Still writing regularly.

Still getting shitty fucking nightmares, especially recently. Thanks, brain.

Sat on the sofa, stuffing my face with jelly beans.

Stay safe my friends. ๐Ÿ™โค๏ธ

I am a therapist in private practice. I am booked solid in my practice and it's quite overwhelming. I am managing. I live with ADHD so it's a bit difficult. Luckily I have support that tries very hard to assist. Feel free to ask any questions you want to. I love talking about mental health.

Working on learning to make sourdough now. Made a starter over a week or so ago and utterly failed on my first attempt other than on the taste. Tried again today. Amazing structure, flavour and crust but still a pretty pathetic rise. I'll try a longer prove I think, probably overnight in the fridge.

Installing Observer_ as I can't hold out until 19/11 and need my 'punk fix somehow.

Meditation has become a part of my life. Iโ€™m still learning, but hereโ€™s a quick list of some of the lessons learned so far.

Part of the #100DaysToOffload series.

Day 60 and I'm really enjoying it. More clarity and moments of self-awareness, especially regarding my relationship with alcohol. I'm listening to Annie Grace's "This Naked Mind" as well, which is reinforcing many of the conclusions I'm coming to, as well as some things I've known for longer than I would normally admit. It's a weird combination of metaprogramming, NLP and liminal thinking but I'm enjoying it.

I've been playing Generation Zero most of the day with a friend. It's a buggy gem of a game and it's really sucking me in. Great gear customisation, solid AI and firefights that genuinely require planning and team communication. It feels threatening being stuck on an island full of robotic killers, more than Breakpoint ever did. The Rival system is a lot of fun too. Recommended for a tenner on Xbox and probably our gaming group's new weekly game.

Remember to take care of yourself. You canโ€™t pour from an empty cup.

Off to the office for the second time since March 18th. One of my dev team members will also be in and I'm really looking forward to seeing her again. Sometimes even I have to admit to being an ultrasocial primate. ๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ˜‰

Just hit 71 pages and 22,000 words and I've barely started work on introducing the world itself outside of mechanics and character creation (not started Skills and Professions yet either...) At least the social system is vastly more detailed than combat and stands apart from it (which is what I wanted - violence is a last resort).

"Early Playtest Document" is probably a better title than "Quick Start Rules" though. ๐Ÿ˜†

We need to finish watching Beth playing at the Albert Hall this evening. Until then, enjoy my favourite tune of hers (smouldering doesn't even begin to describe it). The version with Joe Bonamassa is equally fantastic.

Joe Bonamassa on Sky Arts, though I've missed most of the concert. Hopefully it'll be in catch up. But...

...followed by Beth Hart. โค๏ธ

Received a random invite to ("jump the beta queue, we reserved your username") as a replacement to since I burned my account after the Zoom acquisition.

Anyone know anything about it?
