As a heads-up, I'm going to be cleaning the mh.social userbase at some point very soon.

"Why?", you ask. "There are, like, two people on mh.social and you're one of them!"

Good question. Mainly because I can see a lot of users with 0 posts all signing up from the same location, following the same users on other instances, seemingly to boost follow count. Which is a very Twitter thing to do. And you all know how I feel about Twitter.

So, I'm going to, grumpily, purge with impunity - soon (tm).

Given the influx of new uses to the fediverse (even if not really many are signing up at our li'l instance) this is now done. From orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

@andy what are you using to do this? I'm having the same issue on my instance - bots signing up with 0 posts.

@ryan I'll just have to do it manually and keep an eye on it. MH is a tiny instance so it'll not take me long.

@andy what is your manual process? I've never removed accounts from my instance before (it's only me). Seeing a lot of accounts like this. What are you clicking/doing to remove them forever? Thanks.

@ryan Yep, that's one that followed me earlier. 👍 I'll just suspend without notification.

@andy I see we have the same friend on both our servers 🙄
