Finally implemented heading and speed calculations for my #RogueLike. 😊
I need to fiddle more with the Z-axis calculations but I'm not too bothered about absolutely perfect accuracy (as it's all about fighting ASCII things with an ASCII thing, not a true simulation).
The next complicated bit of maths is the forward-facing console - what's in front of the sub given its heading. Then collision-detection. Then I can maybe focus more on the game, not the engine.
